Information on parking and support programs for travel agencies and tourism operators.

About Parking

For passenger cars

There are municipal parking lots (free of charge) around the Uchikawa area. For details, please refer to the Tourism Promotion Division website.. Parking at Imizu City Tourism Exchange Center Cross Bay Shinminato is available free of charge for up to 4 hours. (After 4 hours, 100 yen per hour, maximum 500 yen for 24 hours)

Notes on Parking Use

  • Parking is for sightseeing visitors only. Please refrain from use by non-visitors.
  • The Association and the Division assume no responsibility for any accidents, theft, or trouble within the parking area.
  • Please turn off your engine while parked.

For Large Buses

Parking is available at Kawa no Eki Shinminato (川の駅新湊) (0766-30-2552) and Cross Bay Shinminato (クロスベイ新湊)(0766-84-9600).
Please contact the above facilities in advance when using the parking.

Tour Package Consumption Support Program for Travel Agencies

This program provides support for package tours to Imizu. For tours that include meals or paid tourist facilities within the city (such as admission, boarding, or entry fees), a subsidy equivalent to 10% (without lodging within the city) or 20% (with lodging within the city) of the total consumption amount multiplies by the number of participants will be provided (subject to a maximum limit).

Applicable Periods of Travel

Departures between November 1, 2026 and February 28, 2027.

Eligibility Requirements

  • 1. Use of meals or paid tourist facilities within Imizu City (such as admission, boarding, or entry fees)
    For free-choice lunches, a fixed amount of 700 yen per person will be counted. (Free-choice dinners are subject to consultation.)
  • 2. Visit to a local product (souvenir) shop within Imizu City
    (Minimum stay of 30 minutes. Consumption is calculated as 300 yen for days 1 to the day before the final day, and 700 yen on the final day.)
  • 3. Inclusion of Imizu City tourism images in promotional materials (such as brochures, newspapers, or websites), and the mention of “Imizu City” within those materials

Subsidy Amount

  • An amount equivalent to 10% of the per-person consumption (A) under conditions ① and ② multiplied by the number of participants will be provided. (Maximum: 1,000 yen per person)
  • If staying at lodging within Imizu City, an amount equivalent to 20% of the total of “ lodging fee per person + (A)” multiplied by the number of participants will be provided. (Maximum: 3,000 yen per person)

Settlement Method

After the tour period ends, the confirmed amount will be transferred to the designated bank account by the Tourism Association. (Bank transfer fees shall be borne by the applicant.)

Submission of the application form and promotional materials for sales. In principle, applications must be submitted before the tour starts.

Specialized Support for Toyama Bay Sushi

Toyama Bay Sushi is a highly recommended menu for enjoying seasonal seafood from Toyama Bay. This set menu, served at sushi restaurants across the prefecture, includes:

  • 1. 10 pieces of sushi made with seasonal local fish from Toyama Bay,
  • 2. sushi rice prepared with Toyama-grown rice, and
  • 3. a soup dish reflecting local flavors.
The Imizu Tourism Association works together with sushi restaurants within the city, travelers can enjoy Toyama Bay Sushi and fresh seasonal fish.

Process from Arrangement to Response

  1. Step 1: Travel Agency [Request for Arrangement] → Imizu Tourism Association

    Provide the tour name, departure location, scheduled dates (departure date and Toyama Bay Sushi usage date/time / lunch or dinner), itinerary before and after the sushi meal, number of participants, and details on tour conductors and drivers (including number and meal arrangements).

  2. Step 2: Imizu Tourism Association [Response to the Tour] → Travel Agency

    Based on the tour details, a consolidated response will be provided using the “Tour Conductor Handover Sheet (Restaurant Assigned)” within the requested period. (For groups of 25 or more, arrangements may be split across two restaurants. Restaurants are assigned and cannot be selected.)

  3. Step 3: Travel Agency [Report on Booking Status and Final Confirmation] → Imizu Tourism Association

    Approximately 10 to 14 days before departure, please report whether the tour will take place as planned. If confirmed, provide the number of participants, number of groups, and customer information (only if prior notice is required).

  4. Step 4: Imizu Tourism Association [Final Tour Conductor Handover Sheet] → Travel Agency

    The final “Tour Conductor Handover Sheet”, reflecting the information provided in Step 3, will be issued.
    After this point, communication will be conducted directly between the travel agency and the sushi restaurant.
